Lambeth named USA South Co-Golfer of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon's Addison Lambeth was named USA South Athletic Conference Co-Golfer of the Week on Wednesday.

Lambeth, who is ranked No. 2 in Division III by Golfstat, tied for second in the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational with Greensboro's Grant Powell this past weekend. Both golfers shot 3-under-par 213 and finished one stroke off the lead.

The senior opened the tournament with a 3-under 69 before shooting an even-par 72 in each of the final two rounds.

In team play, the Hawks finished tied for second with a three-round total of 879.

Huntingdon returns to the course on Monday, hosting the Wynlakes Intercollegiate.

 

Co-Golfers of the Week
Addison Lambeth, Huntingdon - The senior from Greensboro, North Carolina finished tied for second at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate in Jekyll Island, Georgia last week by shooting a three-under par 213. In the three-day event, Lambeth opened with a three-under par 69, followed by an even-par 72 and finished with an even-par 72. His performance helped the Hawks to a tied for second place finish at the event.

Grant Powell, Greensboro - The freshman from Colfax, North Carolina finished finished tied for second at the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate in Jekyll Island, Georgia last week by shooting a three-under par 213. In the three-day event, Powell opened with an even-par 72, followed by an even-par 72 and finished with a three-under par 69. His performance helped the Pride to a first place finish at the event.

Also Nominated: David White, N.C. Wesleyan.

Golf Rookie of the Week
