2018 USA South Spring Sports Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The USA South Athletic Conference Spring Sports Festival begins on Wednesday in LaGrange, Ga.

The USA South sponsors conference tournaments for seven spring sports (baseball, softball, men's golf, men's and women's lacrosse and men's and women's tennis. Huntingdon will have four teams competing for conference titles.

The baseball tournament will begin on Wednesday and the other six tournaments will begin on Thursday and Friday. Championships will be decided on Saturday and Sunday.

Below are the start times and first-day pairings for each of Huntingdon's teams. Links to each tournament website are listed as well.

 

Men's Golf

Second-seeded Huntingdon, the No. 2 team in Division III, will compete in the conference tournament at Highland Country Club from Thursday through Saturday.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. (Eastern) each day.

The tournament will include three teams ranked in the top-15 in Division III. Along with Huntingdon, Methodist is ranked No. 1 and Greensboro is 13th.

Baseball

Fourth-seeded Huntingdon (18-16, 10-7 USA South) will open the double-elimination tournament against fifth-seeded North Carolina Wesleyan (19-21, 10-8 USA South) at noon (Eastern) on Wednesday at Point University's West Point Field.

Win or lose, Huntingdon will play again on Thursday at 10 a.m. (Eastern).

The championship is set for Saturday at noon (Eastern).

Men's Lacrosse

In the inaugural USA South Men's Lacrosse Tournament, top-seeded Huntingdon (14-2, 6-0 USA South) will open play against fourth-seeded Greensboro (9-8, 3-3 USA South) on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. (Eastern) at Callaway Stadium.

The winner will advnace to the conference championship on Sunday at 3 p.m. (Eastern).

Women's Tennis

The Lady Hawks (16-2, 6-1 USA South) enter the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the West Division and will open the single elimination tournament against Meredith (7-9, 6-2 USA South), the No. 3 seed in the East.

The first-round match is set for Friday at 10 a.m. (Eastern) at the McCluskey Tennis Center.

The winner advances to the semifinals on Saturday. The championship match is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. (Eastern) at the McCluskey Tennis Center.
