171 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – A total of 171 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Wednesday.

The student-athletes, representing each of Huntingdon's 20 athletic programs, were among the 1,755 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have earned at least a 3.3 GPA during each semester of the school year. Members of sports not sponsored by the conference, including beach volleyball and wrestling, are eligible for recognition.

The USA South also recognized student-athletes with a 3.9 GPA or higher in each semester as All-Academic with Distinction. A total of 46 Huntingdon student-athletes earned the honor.

Nine of the conference members placed at least 100 student-athletes on the team. Huntingdon had the second highest total in the conference. Piedmont led the conference with 205 selections.
