MEN'S BASKETBALL

Men's Basketball Player of the Week
Kyle Brown, LaGrange - The senior forward from Dallas, Georgia averaged 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game as the Panthers posted a 3-0 record against USA South competition last week, which included a 101-98, overtime, victory at 11th ranked Maryville. In that game, Brown notched a double-double with 25 points and ten rebounds to go along with five assists, and one block. Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Jesse Kinard, Covenant - The freshman guard from Jonesboro, Arkansas averaged 7.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game as the Scots posted a 3-0 record against USA South competition last week. Kinard scored a week-high 11 points in a win at Brevard and posted week-highs for rebounds (5), assists (2), and steals (1) in a victory against Berea. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Women's Basketball Player of the Week
Quadijah Moore, Greensboro - The sophomore forward from Greenwood, South Carolina averaged 20.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 steals per game as the Pride posted a 2-0 record last week against USA South foes. In an 83-78 win over Southern Virginia, a team receiving votes in the last week's WBCA Coaches Poll, Moore notched a double-double of 29 points and ten rebounds with four steals, two rebounds, and two blocks. In an 80-57 victory over Meredith, Moore totaled 12 points, eight rebounds, and two steals in just 18 minutes played. Also Nominated: Ruthie Moore, Covenant; Livia Skinner, Piedmont; Kayrisma Harrison, N.C. Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Alize Munn, Salem - The first-year guard/forward from Deland, Texas averaged 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game as the Spirits posted a 1-2 record last week against USA South foes. In the team's lone win of last week, 92-83 over William Peace, Munn tallied 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and one block. Also Nominated: Audrey Jennings, Greensboro; Melissa D'Oleo, Methodist; Nae-Nae Eades, Piedmont; Lexi Shepard, Brevard.

Baseball Player of the Week
Spencer Nelson, Methodist - The senior infielder from Plant City, Florida went a combined 5-for-7 (.714) with a .750 on-base percentage, and a 2.143 slugging percentage to go along with five runs scored, seven RBI, one double, three home runs, and one walk as the Monarchs swept a season-opening doubleheader Hood. Also Nominated: Kenny Mills, Covenant; Kyle Carlson, Piedmont; Nate Tuck, Averett; Zach Scott, N.C. Wesleyan; Zach Allison, Brevard; Joe Ruth, LaGrange.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week
Bryce Leonhardt, Maryville - The sophomore from Tampa, Florida tossed seven-shutout innings in his first start of the season for the Scots, an 8-1 victory over Oglethorpe. Leonhardt allowed just three hits without a walk while striking out seven. Also Nominated: Matthew Scavotto, Brevard; Bryce Bollinger, Covenant; Tyler Roon, Piedmont; Avery Spicer, Averett; Daniel Thompson, N.C. Wesleyan.

Baseball Rookie of the Week
Frankie Vasquez, Brevard - The freshman infielder from Pembroke Pines, Florida went a combined 6-for-15 (.400) with a .500 on-base percentage, and a .400 slugging percentage over the past two weeks to begin the season, as the Tornados posted a 4-1 record. Vasquez also added four runs scored, four RBI, two walks, and two stolen bases during that time. In a doubleheader sweep of William Peace, Vasquez was a combined 4-for-10 with three runs scored, three RBI, one walk, and one stolen base. In taking two of three games against Allegheny, Vasquez was a combined 3-for-8 with one run scored, one run batted in, one walk, and one stolen base. Also Nominated: Kyle Carlson, Piedmont; Joseph Allen, Averett.

Baseball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Brandon Humphreys, Methodist - The freshman from Fuquay Varina, North Carolina earned his first collegiate win after coming on in relief to toss 2.2 scoreless innings in a 14-4 win over Hood in his only appearance on the mound for the Monarchs last week. Humphreys allowed one hit with one strike out in the victory. Also Nominated: Bodie Eilertson, Piedmont; Nathan Comer, Averett; Austin Suttle, Maryville.

Softball Player of the Week
Sara Koonce, Maryville - The junior catcher from Fayetteville, Tennessee was a combined 7-for-11 (.636) with a .733 on-base percentage and a 1.182 slugging percentage to go along with three runs scored, six RBI, three doubles, one home run, and one walk as the Scots posted a 3-1 record last week. In a doubleheader sweep of Emory, Koonce was a combined 5-for-6 with two runs scored, four RBI, two doubles, and one home run. In a doubleheader split with 17th-ranked Berry, Koonce was a combined 2-for-5 with one run scored, two RBI, one double, and one walk.Also Nominated: Taylor Hannah, Brevard; Jordan Holman, Covenant; Ashlyn Kennedy, Pfeiffer; Bethany Junker, Methodist; Hailey League, Huntingdon.

Softball Pitcher of the Week
Crimson Wells, Huntingdon - The junior from Temple, Georgia tossed a one-hit shutout in her only appearance for the Hawks last week, a 2-0 victory over Centre. Wells did not allow a walk and struck out three batters to earn the win. Also Nominated: Kaitlynn Farmer, Brevard; Megan Ackerman, Maryville.

Softball Rookie of the Week
Lauren Kay, Covenant - The freshman infielder from Chattanooga, Tennessee went a combined 5-for-11 (.455) with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage to go along with six runs scored, four RBI, one double, one triple, one home run, four walks, and five stolen bases last week as the Scots posted a 3-1 record. In a two-game split with Mississippi University for Women, Kay was a combined 2-for-7 with three runs scored, two RBI, one home run, one walk, and two stolen bases. In two wins over Sewanee, Kay was a combined 3-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBI, one double, one triple, three walks, and three stolen bases. Also Nominated: Jaci Cook, Pfeiffer; Haley Fethke, Methodist; Brecca Williams, Maryville.

Softball Rookie Pitcher of the Week
Abby Delp, Brevard - The freshman from Waxhaw, North Carolina earned a win in her only appearance last week, her first career start, by tossing seven-complete innings in a 3-1 victory over Carolina University. Delp allowed one run on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Also Nominated: Maggie Harris, Covenant; Heidi Layne, Methodist.
