Addison Lambeth Named to USA South Hall of Fame
Montgomery, Alabama – Former Hawk Men's Golf member, Addison Lambeth has been named to the USA South Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
Addison made the most of his two seasons (2016-17) with the Huntingdon men's golf squad. In 2016, Lambeth was Division III's Jack Nicklaus Award Winner which signified him as the top collegiate DIII golfer in the nation. During his two seasons, Lambeth was a First Team All-American, First-Team All-Region, and First Team All-Conference honoree in each campaign. Lambeth individually was the 2016 Division III national runner-up while he helped the Hawks to a team runner-up performance during that year's NCAA National Championship. In 2017, he was named the USA South Player of the Year and finished the season ranked second in the nation individually. Prior to his time on the Huntingdon campus, Lambeth served in the United States Marine Corps from 2010-2015 and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. Finally, Lambeth was the 2016 male recipient of the USA South's Don Scalf Award which is the Conference's most prestigious accolade, honoring one male and one female as its Student-Athletes of the Year.
He is the first Huntingdon inductee in the USA South Hall of Fame.
Head Coach Dave Schreyer on the induction of former player:
"I am very excited for Addison. He is very well deserving of this honor. His path in college golf was unique, with his military service separating the years he went to college. Addison brought a level of maturity to my squad that was invaluable. He was very connected at the college; his leadership skills were unprecedented, and his play brought him national honors. I cannot think of a better candidate for this induction. It was truly my honor to coach him and his impact on our program has trickled down over the years."
Athletic Director Eric Levanda on the induction of former student-athlete:
"Addison's story is a good one, from a Marine to the NCAA Division III Golfer of the Year. He was inducted into the Huntingdon Athletic Hall of Fame this past fall and we couldn't ask for a more decorated representative than Addison, as the first representative from Huntingdon College to be inducted into the USA-South Hall of Fame."
