Huntingdon College athletic mission statement

The Huntingdon College Athletics Department believes that intercollegiate athletics is an integral component of a liberal arts education and that the student-athlete's self-actualization is enhanced by participation in amateur sports as they strive for academic excellence.                                                                             

Huntingdon College also seeks to establish and maintain an environment that values cultural diversity and gender equity and emphasizes physical and mental well-being among its student-athletes and athletic staff.

In pursuit of athletic excellence it is further believed that athletics provides the student-athlete the opportunity for self-discovery and to develop principles of discipline, fair play, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct that values cultural diversity and gender equity and emphasizes physical and mental well-being among its student-athletes and athletic staff.

To facilitate this philosophy Huntingdon College is a member of the NCAA and participates under its Division III guidelines.
