Bio

Christian Young joined the Huntingdon coaching staff as an assistant men’s soccer coach in the summer of 2019.

During his first season, Young worked with head coach Matt Cooper to help the Hawks tie the program’s NCAA-era record for wins in a season.

The team put together a 7-10 record and scored 36 goals, the second most for the Hawks during the NCAA era. The team also produced one All-Conference selection and nine Academic All-Conference selections.

Before Huntingdon, Young began his collegiate coaching career as a student-assistant coach at Auburn University-Montgomery. He also served as a head coach at the club level with the Capital City Streaks and Barber Elite Soccer Club.

A four-year player for AUM, Young was a team captain as a junior and senior.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in general business from AUM in 2018.
