Bio

Craig Duncan was named Huntingdon's head wrestling coach in April 2015.

In his first season with Huntingdon, Duncan led the second-year Hawks to their first team win with a 33-18 victory at Southern Virginia in November. Duncan guided the Hawks to their first home win with a 37-15 victory over the University of Ozarks in January. Huntingdon closed the 2015-16 season with four wins in the Division III Central Regional.

Four wrestlers earned Academic All-Conference honors during Duncan’s first season.

Before Huntingdon, Duncan spent 11 seasons as the head wrestling coach at St. James School in Montgomery. He led the wrestling team to its first state title and also coached eight individual state champions.

He was named the National Wrestling Coaches Association Coach of the Year for Alabama after leading the Trojans to the Class 1A-4A state title in 2013. The Trojans were the Class 1A-4A state runner-up in 2014. While at St. James, Duncan also served as an assistant football coach and golf coach.

Duncan earned his B.S. in physical education from Auburn University-Montgomery. He got his start in coaching at Hooper Academy from 1993-2004. During that time, he had the opportunity to coach wrestling, football, baseball, golf and track and field. He was also athletic director during a portion of his tenure.
