James Morrison joined the Huntingdon coaching staff as an assistant men’s basketball coach in the fall of 2017.

A 2016 graduate of the University of South Carolina, Morrison was a manager for the Gamecocks’ men’s basketball team for two seasons and founded the school’s first club basketball team.

While attending South Carolina, Morrison spent the summer of 2016 as an operation and facility management intern for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Before attending South Carolina, Morrison played basketball for one season at Guilford College and won the Quakers’ Coaches Award.

A native of Marlboro, Mass., Morrison grew up in Massachusetts before moving to Horse Shoe, N.C. A graduate of West Henderson High School, he earned All-Western Athletic Conference honors and All-Area honors in basketball. 

He is the son of Jim and Lynn Morrison and has one brother, Cameron, and one sister, Anna.
