Bio

Ben Strong joined the Huntingdon College coaching staff as an assistant men's basketball coach in the fall of 2016.

Strong spent the past eight seasons playing professional basketball in the United States and abroad. He played with the Nelson Giants in New Zealand in the spring of 2016 and played in the NBA Summer League for the New York Knicks in 2015.

From 2011-2015, Strong played in the NBA Development League with the Westchester Knicks, Austin Toros, Delaware 87ers and Iowa Energy. From 2008-2011, Strong played in Israel and the Netherlands.

Before his professional career, he was a Division III National Player of the Year, a two-time All-American, two-time Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a three-time All-ODAC performer at Guilford College.

As a senior, Strong led the ODAC with 25.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. When he graduated, he was the Quakers' second all-time leading scorer (2,241 points), second in career blocks (236), seventh in career rebounds (929) and ranked in the top five in several other career marks for Guilford.

Strong led Guilford to a 48-10 record, one ODAC title and two NCAA Tournament appearances in his final two seasons. As a junior, he set the NCAA Division III Tournament record with 59 points, including the game-winning free throw, in a 129-128 triple overtime win over Lincoln University.

Strong graduated from Guilford in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and a minor in business.
