Five Hawks named NSCA All-American Athletes of the Year

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Five Huntingdon student-athletes were among those honored with the release of the National Strength and Conditioning Association's All-American Athlete of the Year awards.
139 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Division III Week, which runs from Monday through Sunday, is intended to recognize the academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the campus leadership and community service efforts of Division III student-athletes. JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team split with Carson-Newman and Austin Peay on the first day of the Carson-Newman Tournament on Friday. The Hawks defeated Division II Carson-Newman 4-1 before losing 5-0 to Division I Austin Peay.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The second-year Huntingdon beach volleyball team picked up its first 5-0 victory with a win over Principia College on Saturday. The Hawks split with Principia and Lincoln Memorial University on the final day of the Huntingdon Beach Tournament. Huntingdon beat the Division III Panthers in the final match of the tournament. Huntingdon lost to LMU 4-1 in the first match on Saturday. The Railsplitters are a third-year Division II program.

The second-year Hawks split two matches on the first day of the tournament. Before defeating the Division III Panthers, Huntingdon lost 5-0 to NAIA Missouri Baptist.
