Beach volleyball opens season against Division I competition

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team opened the season against a pair of Division I opponents on Friday in UAB's Blazer Beach Duals.
The Hawks lost to Louisiana-Monroe 5-0 and fell to the University of North Alabama 3-2.
In the match with UNA (1-1), Huntingdon's No. 3 team of Amy Tyma and Lexie DeVuyst won 21-10, 21-15 and the No. 5 team of April Reese and Alexis Creasman won 21-16, 21-18.
Records: Huntingdon (0-2); Louisiana-Monroe (2-0); North Alabama (1-1)
Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action against two more Division I opponents on Saturday in the Blazer Beach Duals. The Hawks are scheduled to play Jacksonville State University at 11 a.m. and UAB at 2 p.m.
