Hawks split on Day 1 of Huntingdon Beach Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team opened its tournament with a 5-0 lost to Division I Mercer and a 4-1 win over Division III Principia on Friday.
In their match with Principia, the No. 2 team of Nichole LeFevre-Addison Genard won 21-10, 21-18. The No. 3 team of Lexie DeVuyst-Amy Tyma won 21-16, 21-12. The No. 4 team of Kaitlyn Carter-Shelby McAllister won 21-16, 21-11. The No. 5 team of Alexis Creasman-April Reese won 22-20, 21-17.
Records: Huntingdon College (3-12), Mercer University (2-0), Principia College (2-7)
Coming Up: The Hawks return to action on Saturday in Day 2 of the Huntingdon Beach Tournament against Webber International at noon.
