Beach volleyball loses battle with NAIA William Carey

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team opened the Huntingdon Tournament with a 3-2 loss to William Carey on Friday.

The Hawks earned wins against the NAIA Crusaders with their No. 1 and No. 3 teams. The No. 1 team of Amy Tyma and Audrey Horsley won 21-13, 21-19 and the No. 3 team of Morgan Ilsley and Lauren Hinton won 21-17, 21-18. The No. 2 team of Cadie Shirley and Jessica Brunk lost in three sets.

Coming Up: The Huntingdon Tournament continues on Saturday. Huntingdon will play William Carey at 8 a.m. and the University of Mobile at 2:45 p.m.
