Beach volleyball closes out Huntingdon Tournament

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, ONLY HUNTINGDON STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED AT OUTDOOR ATHLETIC EVENTS

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team closed out the Huntingdon Tournament with two losses on Sunday.

The Hawks lost to Division III Hendrix College 4-1 and fell to Division II Montevallo 5-0.

Huntingdon's No. 1 team of Amy Tyma and Audrey Horsley won 21-13, 21-19 against Hendrix before falling 21-16, 21-18 against Montevallo. The loss to Montevallo was the first of the season for Tyma and Horsley (4-1).

The Hawks' No. 4 team of Josie Hester and Jordan Hollis lost in three games against Hendrix. Against Montevallo, the No. 3 team of Cadie Shirley and Jessica Brunk and the No. 5 team of ZaKira Landrum and Ashanti Thomas both took the Falcons to three games before losing.

Coming Up: Huntingdon plays at Spring Hill on Feb. 21.
