Spivey and Rollins Nab GSAC's Final Baseball Weekly Awards

DECATUR, Ga.- Entering the home stretch of the 2012 regular season, Tyler Spivey of Huntingdon and James Rollins of Covenant have earned the final Pitcher and Player of the Week honors for the 2012 season. This is the first time season for both athletes.

In a week full of conference games for the Hawks, Spivey made two appearances last week, earning two saves, striking out three and walking one in 2 2/3 innings against LaGrange. For the season, Spivey has seven saves and one win in 11 appearances.

Playing four games, two against Berry and two versus Emory, Rollins was at bat 21 times this past week and had 14 hits (.667). He recorded four runs and six RBI as well. He was also walked once. Over 31 games so far this season, Rollins has the fourth best batting average in the conference at .492 with 60 hits and 21 RBI.
