Huntingdon baseball opens season with loss to Ozarks

JACKSON, Miss. – Huntingdon gave up three runs in the third inning and two in the seventh to drop a 5-0 decision to the University of the Ozarks on Friday. The game was the season opener for both teams and the first of three games Huntingdon will play in the Millsaps College Invitational.

Senior Austin White recorded two of Huntingdon's four hits. Senior Craig Brown took the loss for the Hawks in six innings.

Due to the weather forecast for Sunday, Huntingdon's schedule for the remainder of the weekend has been updated. Instead of playing once on Saturday and once on Sunday, the Hawks will now play twice on Saturday.

The Hawks are scheduled to play Rhodes at 2 p.m. and Millsaps at 5 p.m.
