Huntingdon baseball to face Methodist in NCAA Regional

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team is headed to its first NCAA Regional.

The Hawks were one of 56 teams selected by the NCAA Division III Baseball Committee on Monday morning. This is the first time Huntingdon has qualified for the postseason as a NCAA program.

The Hawks (30-9) are the No. 1 seed in the six-team South Regional in Millington, Tenn. Huntingdon will open against sixth-seeded Methodist (24-20) at noon on Wednesday.

The remaining teams in the South Regional are No. 2 seed Salisbury (30-7), No. 3 seed Millsaps (34-11), No. 4 seed Bridgewater (33-11) and No. 5 seed Randolph-Macon (23-17-1).

Admission for the tournament is $7 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and children under 12. A tournament pass is $15 for adults and $10 for children and senior citizens.
