Huntingdon loses at Belhaven

JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon baseball team lost to Belhaven University 20-4 in seven innings on Tuesday.

Huntingdon (10-21) scored all four runs in the top of the third inning. Taylor Fought, Garrett Breland and Wes Powell all scored on a Belhaven error before Robert Walker singled to score Corey Lowe and tie the game 4-4.

Belhaven (17-12) took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the third inning and pulled away in the fourth and fifth innings.

Walker and Joseph Calvert each finished with two hits for Huntingdon.

Wes Nail (0-1) took the loss in two innings of relief, allowing two earned runs.

Huntingdon hosts Methodist on Friday at 5 p.m.
