Huntingdon baseball opens season at home on Friday at 3 p.m.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon baseball team is looking to move forward in 2018.

Coming off a season in which the Hawks battled injuries and inexperience, Huntingdon is looking ahead.

The season opens at home on Friday as the Hawks host Millsaps at Posey Field. Due to the forecast of cold weather Friday evening, the original game time has changed.

First pitch on Friday is now set for 3 p.m. Saturday's game is still set for 2 p.m.

The two-game series marks the beginning of six straight home games for the Hawks through mid-February. Huntingdon will play 14 of its first 17 games at Posey Field.

The Hawks enter the season with 16 returning lettermen, including second-team All-Conference selections Taylor Fought and Wes Powell. The returning group includes nine players who appeared in at least 20 games last season and four pitchers who made at least eight appearances.
