Huntingdon stumbles at Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon baseball team lost to Millsaps 6-3 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Hawks took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning but the Majors answered with three runs in the bottom of the fifth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth.

Dakota Beane had two of Huntingdon's five hits and finished 2-for-3 with a run. Joseph Calvert scored two runs and Taylor Fought and Wes Powell each had one RBI.

Taylor Borst (0-1) took the loss in five innings, striking out two, walking three, allowing seven hits and one earned run.

 

Records: Huntingdon (11-9); Millsaps (15-5)

Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action at Piedmont for a three-game USA South Athletic Conference series. Game 1 of the series is set for Friday at 6 p.m. (Central).
