Hawks fall to Edgewood College

MADISON, Ala.  – The Huntingdon baseball team lost to Edgewood College 9-4 on Saturday.

The Hawks were scheduled to play a non-conference game with Maryville late Saturday night. Full results of the Maryville game will be posted when available.

Against Edgewood, Huntingdon fell behind 5-0 in the third inning but kept battling and only trailed 5-4 going into the eighth inning. Edgewood pulled away with one run in the eighth inning and three runs in the ninth inning.

Cullen Stafford was 4-for-4 for Huntingdon and Colton Clark had two hits, an RBI and a run. Dawson Kuba had two hits, Andrew Knight had an RBI and a run, Jacob Pitts had one RBI and Wes Powell and Hall Billings each scored one run.

Wallace Henry (0-3) took the loss in three innings. Henry and Carden Mellown combined for 12 strikeouts in the game.
