HUNTINGDON DEFENSIVE BACK EARNS MORE PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon College defensive back Keith Anthony has been named preseason All-American for the second time this month.
D3PRODAY.com selected Anthony as a first-team defensive back on its preseason All-American team. Earlier this month, the Eclectic native was named second-team defensive back on the D3 Senior Classic preseason All-American team.
Anthony, a team captain as a junior and senior, has started every game the past two seasons. He was chosen as a second-team preseason All-American by D3Football.com in 2010.
The 5-foot-8, 190-pound free safety enters his senior season as the Hawks' third all-time leading tackler (191) and is second in career interceptions (13). As a sophomore, Anthony set the Huntingdon record for interceptions in a season with nine. He needs three interceptions to become the program's career leader.
The Hawks open the season on Saturday at Maryville College.
