DALLAS – A trio of Huntingdon football players were recently recognized on the 2013 National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame's Hampshire Honor Society. H-Back Tyler Hall, quarterback Neal Posey and receiver Austin Worley were among the 703 players from 259 schools named to this year's Hampshire Honor Society.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Huntingdon running back Trevor Manuel got a surprise as he walked off the field last Saturday after the FCS Senior Scout Bowl. Shortly after being named MVP and scoring the winning touchdown in the South All-Stars' 20-17 overtime win against the North, Manuel was approached by a young fan.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – It's been a rewarding week for Huntingdon senior D.J. Chappell. The defensive tackle began the week by becoming the first Huntingdon football player to earn first-team All-America honors from the American Football Coaches Association. On Friday night, he was named first-team All-American by D3football.com.

WACO, Texas – Huntingdon senior defensive tackle D.J. Chappell added to his list of accomplishments on Tuesday. With the release of the American Football Coaches Association's Division III All-America team, Chappell is the first Huntingdon football player to earn first-team All-America.

SALEM, Va. – Huntingdon running back Trevor Manuel had high expectations for himself in Friday night's D3 Senior Classic. Sharing time in a backfield that included the leading scorer and the second leading scorer in Division III this season, Manuel quickly became the star of the game. Manuel rushed for twice as many yards as any other back in the game and scored three touchdowns, including the first two touchdowns for the South team, in a 37-21 win over the North.

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Huntingdon defensive tackle D.J. Chappell and running back Trevor Manuel left their mark on the Huntingdon football program the past four seasons. During their collegiate careers, Chappell became one of the Hawks' all-time leaders in sacks and tackles for loss and Manuel set every major career rushing record for Huntingdon. With the release of the D3football.com All-South Region Team on Tuesday, Chappell and Manuel added another accomplishment.

17th-ranked Huntingdon ends season with loss to Adrian

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon Hawks took a 16-point lead going into the fourth quarter on Saturday. But four Huntingdon turnovers in the final 15 minutes helped Adrian College rally for a 17-16 win at Samford Stadium. A win on Saturday would have kept Huntingdon's playoff hopes alive.

19th-ranked Huntingdon overcomes slow start to knock off Point

VALLEY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team found itself in an unfamiliar situation in the first half Saturday. Facing Point University, a first-year NAIA program, the Hawks trailed by 12 points with a little more than six minutes to play in the second quarter. The 19th-ranked Hawks quickly turned things around. Huntingdon scored two touchdowns before halftime and added two more scores in the second half to take a 33-19 win.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The NCAA released the first Division III football regional rankings of the season on Wednesday. Huntingdon is tied for fifth with Washington and Lee in the South Region. Mary-Hardin Baylor is first in the region, followed by Wesley at second, Johns Hopkins at third and Waynesburg at fourth.

5th-ranked Wesley rallies past 16th-ranked Hawks

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team knew the challenge it was up against Saturday. Facing fifth-ranked Wesley College in the first meeting of Top-25 teams at Samford Stadium, the 16th-ranked Hawks battled the Wolverines evenly for three quarters. But Wesley scored 21 unanswered points and took advantage of three Huntingdon turnovers in the final 16 minutes to take a 31-21 victory.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The excitement began building before this week, but it's only grown stronger as Saturday approaches. When the 16th-ranked Huntingdon football team takes on 5th-ranked Wesley College at 1 p.m. Saturday, Samford Stadium will be hosting its first battle of Top-25 teams. At stake is a potential Pool B bid for the NCAA Division III playoffs.

24th-ranked Huntingdon knocks off previously unbeaten Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. – Running back Trevor Manuel accounted for four touchdowns, quarterback Neal Posey threw two more and the Huntingdon defense provided several crucial stops as the 24th-ranked Hawks downed Millsaps on Saturday. The Hawks took a three-touchdown lead into the fourth quarter and handed the Majors their first loss of the season, 45-24.
