Huntingdon football players report

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon College's football players reported to training camp on Wednesday.

Head coach Mike Turk and his staff welcomed the players to campus to prepare for the first day of practice on Thursday.

"It's great to see our returning players and our newcomers on campus," Turk said. "We're ready to get started. Every year you have holes to fill and we're anxious to see who is going to step up and make a push to fill those positions."

The Hawks' first practice is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday and is open to the public. Huntingdon's first game is set for Sept. 1 as the Hawks host Maryville at Samford Stadium.

Huntingdon's volleyball, soccer, cross country and cheerleading student-athletes will report on Aug. 14.
