Huntingdon selects football team captains

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Four seniors were selected as team captains for the Huntingdon football team this week.

Offensive lineman Chael Pridgen, receiver Jamichael Bibb, defensive lineman Phillip Bagley and linebacker Jacob Wright were selected by a vote of their teammates.

"It's a great honor for the four guys selected," Huntingdon head coach Mike Turk said. "I really think the team did a good job in picking the captains. All four of them are guys who have a very high commitment level to the team, are very unselfish and are all very good players.

"There are several other deserving guys who did receive a lot of votes. That says a lot about the kind of leaders we have on this team." 

The Hawks open the season on Sept. 5 at home against Louisiana College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
