Huntingdon’s Wright named to D3football.com Team of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Linebacker Jacob Wright was recognized this week by D3football.com for his performance in a 56-35 win over Louisiana College in the season opener on Saturday.

Wright was one of four linebackers named to D3football.com's national Team of the Week.

The senior led a defensive effort that held Louisiana College to 88 yards rushing for the game. A native of Evans, Ga., Wright led Huntingdon with nine tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss.

With the win, Huntingdon now owns a 4-2 all-time record against the Wildcats.

Huntingdon travels to Birmingham-Southern on Saturday for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
