FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team stumbled in the opening minutes of the second half Saturday and Methodist University took advantage in a 74-55 win.
The Hawks (1-5) played from behind most of the first half, but only trailed 25-18 at halftime. Methodist (1-4) used a 12-2 run to take a 37-20 lead in the first four minutes of the second half and extended its lead to as much as 28 points in the final 10 minutes.
Byron Dudley scored eight points and Austin Hill had six rebounds to lead Huntingdon.
The Hawks return to action at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Greensboro.
