MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team matched Auburn-Montgomery for most of the first half on Tuesday.
But Huntingdon fell behind late in the first half and AUM pulled away for an 81-40 win.
Huntingdon (2-10) led 20-19 with less than five minutes to play in the first half. But AUM (6-8) closed the first half with a 14-2 run to take a 33-22 lead at halftime. In the second half, Huntingdon trailed 42-30 with 13:50 to play before AUM outscored the Hawks 39-10 to close out the game.
Jerome Davis led Huntingdon with eight points and Andre Ashley had seven rebounds.
Huntingdon returns to action on Jan. 17 at Ferrum at 2 p.m.
