Huntingdon comes up short at William Peace

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team led early on Sunday but lost to William Peace 92-81.

The Hawks (2-15, 1-5 USA South) led 22-15 midway through the first half before Peace (8-9, 4-2 USA South) answered and took a 41-32 lead at the half. Huntingdon pulled within six points three times in the second half, but the Pacers controlled the remainder of the game.

Senior Jerome Davis led Huntingdon, just missing out on a triple-double. Davis finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and a season-high eight assists. He was 4-for-8 from 3-point range.

Dantavius Washington followed with 12 points, Michael Dallas added 11 points and Andre Ashley finished with 10 points.

Huntingdon plays at LaGrange on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
