Huntingdon falls at Birmingham-Southern

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team fell behind in the second half and lost to Birmingham-Southern 87-67 on Monday night.

The Hawks (6-9) trailed 41-36 at halftime and only trailed by a point, 41-40, in the first minute of the second half. But Birmingham-Southern (9-6) used a 31-12 run to put the game away.

This was the second meeting of the season for the two teams. Huntingdon won 75-64 on Nov. 17.

Raheem Berry led the Hawks with 20 points, four assists and four rebounds. R.J. Jones was 6-for-12 from 3-point range and finished with 18 points. Andre Ashley added 11 points and nine rebounds and Brandon McLean followed with 10 points, six rebounds and three steals.

Huntingdon will host Rust College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
