DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team matched Piedmont College until midway through the second half but lost to the Lions 72-57 on Friday.
Huntingdon (1-11, 0-2 USA South) trailed 54-53 with a little more than seven minutes to play before Piedmont (5-7, 1-2 USA South) closed the game with an 18-4 run.
Charvez' Hobson, Andre Ashley and Trey Livingston each scored 10 points for the Hawks. Hobson also had five rebounds and four assists and Ashley had five rebounds. Scotty Chadwick added nine points and Brandon McLean pulled down six rebounds.
Huntingdon is scheduled to play at Covenant on Saturday at 3 p.m.
