Huntingdon loses to LaGrange in final home game of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team closed out its final home game of the season with a 75-64 loss to LaGrange on Wednesday night.

The Hawks (2-21, 0-12 USA South) carried a 29-26 lead into halftime and led by as many as six points early in the second half. But LaGrange (14-9, 7-5 USA South) pulled ahead with 13:24 to play and would not trail again.

The Hawks cut LaGrange's lead to four points, 61-57, with 5:16 remaining before the Panthers eased ahead and closed out the game.

Andre Ashley finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds and four assists to lead the Hawks. Brandon McLean added 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocked shots and Charvez' Hobson had 11 points and five rebounds. KK Franklin finished with eight points and eight rebounds.

Huntingdon travels to play William Peace on Saturday. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m.
