Huntingdon falls behind late at Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team lost to Methodist University 79-68 on Saturday.

The Hawks played from behind for most of the game but carried a 35-35 tie into halftime and only trailed by three points, 61-58, with 4:55 to play in the game.

The Monarchs began to pull ahead and built a 10-point lead in the final minute.

Brandon McLean led Huntingdon with 18 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots. T.C. Elmore added 13 points and six rebounds and Kyante Pines had 10 points and six rebounds. Isaiah King and Aaron Washington each finished with nine points and Charvez' Hobson had six rebounds.

Quick Facts: Huntingdon and Methodist combined for 18 blocked shots in the game with Huntingdon turning in a season-high seven blocks … The Hawks' bench accounted for 29 points on Saturday … Methodist leads the USA South East Division with a 7-1 record and is one of two teams in the USA South with 12 wins this season.
