Hawks can’t find an answer for hot-shooting Covenant

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team fell behind in the first half and never recovered in a 90-75 loss to Covenant on Saturday.

Covenant built a double-digit lead in the first 11 minutes of the game and took a 49-32 lead into halftime. Huntingdon cut Covenant's lead to 10 points, 73-63, in the final 10 minutes before the Scots pulled back ahead.

Kyante Pines led Huntingdon with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists. Brandon McLean added 14 points and eight rebounds and Trey Livingston had 14 points.

Quick Facts: Both Huntingdon and Covenant shot better than 50 percent from the field in Saturday's game. Huntingdon shot a season-high 51.6 percent from the field, sinking 32-of-62 field goals. Covenant shot 57.4 percent from the field (35-for-61) and hit 48.5 percent from 3-point range (16-for-33).
