MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team fell behind late in the first half and lost to North Carolina Wesleyan 84-69 on Sunday.
North Carolina Wesleyan leads the East Division of the USA South with a 13-3 conference record.
Huntingdon held an 18-16 lead with 11:22 to play in the first half before the Battling Bishops pulled ahead with a 30-5 run. North Carolina Wesleyan controlled the remainder of the game.
Senior R.J. Jones was the only Huntingdon player to score in double figures and finished with 16 points. Sophomores Charvez' Hobson and Lucas Schmitt each finished with eight points. Senior Brandon McLean had a team-high eight rebounds.
