Hawks hold off LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman Bryant Reid sank two free throws with two seconds remaining to help the Huntingdon men's basketball team get by LaGrange College 84-80 on Wednesday.

Huntingdon built a 73-61 lead with 4:32 left in the game but had to hold off a late rally by LaGrange. The Panthers pulled within five points, 80-75, with 38 seconds left and cut it to two points, 82-80, with two seconds remaining.

Reid sank both free throws to seal the win for the Hawks.

Junior Kyante Pines led Huntingdon in scoring with 21 points and also pulled down seven rebounds. Senior Brandon McLean turned in his seventh double-double of the season with 18 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Junior Cam Boyd added 15 points, five rebounds and four assists and Reid finished with nine points.
