Huntingdon falls to Sewanee on buzzer-beater in season opener

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team lost to Sewanee 65-63 on a 3-pointer at the buzzer on Friday night.

With Huntingdon leading 63-62 in the final seconds, Sewanee missed a 3-point attempt with five seconds to play. The Tigers came up with the rebound, made a desperation pass to avoid going out of bounds and took the game-winning 3-point attempt with less than half a second on the clock.

James Harris led the Hawks with 10 points. Kyante Pines and Ceaunte Zachery each added nine points and Isaiah King had eight points. Trey Livingston pulled down 10 rebounds, Zachery had nine rebounds and Pines and Scotty Chadwick each had six rebounds.

Complete game stats were not available Friday night.
