Huntingdon falters late at William Peace

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's basketball team fell behind in the final minutes and lost to William Peace 75-58 on Saturday.

The Hawks matched the Pacers for the first 34 minutes of the game. With 11 lead changes in the game, neither team led by more than seven points until the final 10:05 of the game.

Huntingdon trailed 38-34 at halftime but regained the lead early in the second half and led 44-42 with 12:21 to play. The Pacers tied the game and, sparked by three 3-pointers in 56 seconds, pulled ahead to a 56-46 lead with 8:29 to play.

With 5:54 to play, Huntingdon only trailed 59-55. But from there, the momentum swung to the Pacers. Peace closed the game with a 16-3 run.

James Harris led the Hawks with 11 points and eight rebounds. Isaiah King and Scotty Chadwick each added 10 points.
