Hawks Take Down Berea On The Road
MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Huntingdon men's basketball (9-11 overall, 3-4 CCS) traveled to Berea, Kentucky and took down the Mountaineers (10-11 overall, 5-3 CCS) 86-79.

First half

Continuing his hot shooting from last game, Jaylen Washington put the Hawks on the board at the 18:26 mark with a layup

Trailing 9-6, the Hawks put together a 7-0 run, capped off by a Jeremy Autin triple, to take a 13-9 lead at the 14:50 mark

After trading baskets over the next couple of minutes, the Hawks put together an incredible 14-0 run, with baskets coming from BJ Brown,Randall Davis, and Jaylen Washington to take a commanding 30-13 lead with 8 minutes to go in the half

Not to be outdone, Berea closed the second half on a 14-7 run to bring the Huntingdon lead to 37-28 at the halftime break
Second half

Two free throws from Randall Davis to open the second half pushed the Hawks lead back to 39-28

A 12-5 Mountaineer run brought Berea back within 5, 50-45, with 14:18 to go in the half

Randall Davis gave the Hawks back their double digit lead, 59-49, at the 10:51 mark with a layup

The Mountaineers kept battling, but baskets from Jaylen Washington maintained Huntingdon's lead at double digits, 65-54, with 8:13 left

Jeremy Autin drilled another shot from behind the arc to push Huntingdon's lead to 70-56 with 6 minutes remaining in the game

Free throws from BJ Brown and Max Gardner put down any comeback attempt from the Mountaineers, giving the Hawks a 86-79 victory
