MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Former Huntingdon golfer and golf coach Scott Limbaugh was named the head men's golf coach at Vanderbilt University on Thursday. Limbaugh, a 2003 Huntingdon graduate, spent the past five seasons as the assistant men's golf coach at the University of Alabama.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team tied for the second lowest round on the final day of the NCAA Division III National Championship to finish 10th. The Hawks shot 12-over-par 300 on Friday on the El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort. Huntingdon finished the tournament with a four-round total of 1204.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Juniors Sam Strachan and Tyler Schmutz turned in the best rounds for Huntingdon on Thursday in the third round of the NCAA Division III National Championship. Both golfers shot 3-over-par 75 on the El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort. Strachan, who shot 74 and 71 in the first two rounds, is 13 strokes out of first and tied for 10th at 220 entering Friday's final round. The round was the best of the tournament for Schmutz, who is tied for 52nd at 230 after 54 holes.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Huntingdon freshman Thomas Mitchell shot his best collegiate round and the Huntingdon golf team climbed nine spots in the second round of the NCAA Division III National Championship. Mitchell fired a 5-under-par 67 on Wednesday on the Las Colinas course at Mission Inn Resort and Huntingdon shot the second lowest round of the day with a 289. Transylvania turned in a 288 for the best round on Wednesday.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 309 in the first round of the NCAA Division III National Championship on Tuesday at Mission Inn Resort. The Hawks are tied for 20th entering the second round of the tournament on Wednesday. Huntingdon will tee off beginning at 9:20 a.m. CST.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West announced today that Huntingdon will join the NCAA-Division III USA South Athletic Conference beginning in the fall of 2013. Huntingdon and Covenant College (Ga.) were approved as members at a meeting of the USA South presidents yesterday. Current USA South members are Averett University (Va.), Ferrum College (Va.), Greensboro College (N.C.), Mary Baldwin College (Va.), Meredith College (N.C.), Methodist University (N.C.), N.C. Wesleyan College (N.C.), William Peace University (N.C.), and the conference's newest members, LaGrange College (Ga.), Piedmont College (Ga.), and Maryville College (Tenn.).

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's golf team is heading back to the NCAA Division III Championships. The NCAA Division III Men's Golf Committee announced the tournament's field on Monday. The championships will be played May 15-18 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. This is eighth straight year the Hawks have reached the NCAA Championships. Counting Huntingdon's final three seasons in NAIA, this is the 11th straight year the golf program has reached a championship tournament.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 313 on Monday in the first round of the Great South Athletic Conference men's golf tournament at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club. The Hawks are in second and trail tournament leader LaGrange by 12 strokes. The Panthers shot 301 in the first round. Maryville is third at 315, Covenant is fourth at 321 and Piedmont is fifth at 341.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – All five Huntingdon golfers shot 76 or better as the Hawks wrapped up the UNA Spring Classic with a 290 on Tuesday. Huntingdon finished third in the three-round tournament with a score of 886. The University of North Alabama won the tournament with an 859 at the Shoals' Fighting Joe Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. Wilmington (DE) was second with an 885.

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 304 and 292 on Monday in the first two rounds of the UNA Spring Classic. Entering Tuesday's final round at the Shoals' Fighting Joe Course on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, the Hawks are in fourth at 596. The University of North Alabama leads the tournament at 573, Wilmington (DE) is second at 587 and Midwestern State is third at 595.
