Huntingdon men's golf finishes 11th in Gordin Classic
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior Tyler Schmutz shot Huntingdon's best round on Tuesday and freshman David James finished with the Hawks' best three-round total in the Gordin Classic.
Schmutz shot a 2-over-par 74 in the final round at the Columbus Country Club. James finished with a three-round total of 227 and Schmutz shot 229 over 54 holes. Sophomore Steven Smith shot 230, junior Jamey Lester shot 233 and junior Rodes Bowers shot 236. As a team, Huntingdon shot 915.
Wittenberg University's Alex Andrews was the tournament medalist with a 4-under 212. Wittenberg won the Gordin Classic with a score of 868. Methodist University was second at 870 and Oglethorpe University was third at 879.
