Huntingdon men’s golf finishes fourth in O’Briant-Jensen Memorial
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 300 on Tuesday in the final round of the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial at the Cardinal Golf and Country Club. The Hawks shot 604 in the two-round tournament to finish fourth.
Methodist University won the tournament with a score of 578. Guilford College was second at 591 and Greensboro College was third at 598.
Junior Tyler Schmutz led the Hawks on Tuesday with a 3-over-par 73 and finished the tournament tied for 12th at 149. Junior Rodes Bowers shot 75 in the final round and finished one stroke ahead of Schmutz, tied for seventh at 148.
Junior Jamey Lester also shot 75 in the final round to finish at 154. Freshman David James ended the tournament at 155 and sophomore Steven Smith shot 160.
Methodist's Mike Wesko was the medalist at 1-over 141.
