Hawks finish 10th in Fall Preview Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 313 in the final round of the Fall Preview Championship on Monday at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center.

The Hawks finished 10th with a three-round total of 910. Oglethorpe won the 18-team tournament with an 873 and Wittenberg and Illinois Wesleyan tied for second at 882.

Junior David James turned in the Hawks' best round on Monday with a 2-over-par 74 and finished the 54-hole tournament with a 229. Sophomore Will Thrash and freshman Peter Scrimgeour each shot 227 during the three rounds. Freshman Mac Harris shot 235 and freshman Garrett Harrison finished at 241.

Oglethorpe's Anthony Maccaglia was the tournament medalist with a 6-under 210.

Huntingdon returns to action on Oct. 6 in the Royal Lakes Invitational.
