Men’s golf finishes 9th in Emory Spring Invitational

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's golf team shot 316 in the final round of the Emory Spring Invitational on Tuesday. The Hawks finished ninth with a two-round total of 627.

Methodist University won the 13-team tournament with a 592. Berry College was second at 601. Methodist's Jackson Collier and Greensboro's John Grimes tied for first individually at even-par 144.

Junior David James led Huntingdon with a 4-over 76 in the final round and tied for 13th with a two-round 150. Freshman Mac Harris shot 156, freshman Alan Anderson shot 157, sophomore Will Thrash shot 164 and sophomore Garrett Harrison shot 165. Playing as an individual, senior Steven Smith shot 177.

Huntingdon returns to action on April 17 in the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament.
