Huntingdon men place third in Flower City Preview

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Huntingdon men's golf team closed out the Flower City Preview with a two-round total of 611.

The Hawks, who led the 18-team field with a 12-over-par 300 in Round 1, shot 311 on Sunday and finished third. St. John Fisher College won the tournament with a 604 and Methodist was second at 608.

Weather forced the tournament at Midvale Country Club to be shortened to 36 holes.

Two Hawks finished in the top five. Junior Addison Lambeth shot an even-par 72 in the final round and finished fourth with a 4-over 148. Senior David James, who was tied for the tournament lead after Round 1, tied for fifth at 5-over 149.

St. John Fisher's Corey Haas was the medalist with a 1-over 145.

Behind Lambeth and James, sophomore Chase Feagin shot 153 and juniors Will Thrash and Chad Ring each shot 161.

The Hawks return to action on Friday in the Rhodes Fall Classic.
