Huntingdon finishes 9th in Golfweek D3 Fall Invitational

DESTIN, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's golf team dropped two spots in the final round of the Golfweek D3 Fall Invitational on Tuesday and finished ninth.

After shooting their best rounds of the fall in the first two rounds with a 293 on Sunday and a 291 on Monday, the Hawks shot 300 in the final round at the Raven Golf Club and finished with an 884.

St. Thomas-Minnesota won the tournament with an 863. The University of Texas-Tyler and Methodist University tied for second at 864.

Huntingdon junior Chad Ring shot a 3-over-par 74 and finished the tournament in seventh with a 1-over 214. Rhodes College's Chris Harris was the tournament medalist with a 5-under 208.

Huntingdon junior Addison Lambeth shot a 1-over 72 in the final round and finished with a 220. Junior Will Thrash shot 5-over-76 on Tuesday and finished the tournament with a 223. Freshman Stephen Shephard shot 228 for the tournament and senior David James shot 231.

Huntingdon travels to North Carolina for the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial on Oct. 19-20.
