Lambeth named Jack Nicklaus Award finalist

NORMAN, Okla. – Huntingdon junior Addison Lambeth was announced as one of five finalists for the 2016 Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award on Tuesday.

Lambeth was named along with Methodist's Jackson Collier, Oglethorpe's David Kleckner, LaGrange's Logan Lanier and Schreiner's Phillip Stewart.

The winner will be announced on June 2 at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio with the award presented by Jack Nicklaus.

The Division III winner, along with the Division I, Division II, NAIA and NJCAA winners will compete in the Barbasol Shootout for an exemption into the PGA Tour's Barbasol Championships on July 14-17 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National in Opelika, Ala. The Barbasol Shootout will be held on June 4 at Scioto Country Club in Columbus, Ohio.

Entering this week's NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships, Lambeth is ranked fourth in Division III and was averaging 72.13 per round. A first-team USA South All-Conference selection, he has won two tournaments this season and finished in the top five in seven of the Hawks' 10 tournaments.
