Thrash named USA South Golfer of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Senior Will Thrash was named Golfer of the Week by the USA South Athletic Conference on Wednesday.
This is Thrash's second time being named Golfer of the Week this season.
The Prattville, Ala. native led the No. 1 ranked Hawks to their third victory this season and claimed his second win of the season.
Thrash, the No. 3 golfer in Golfstat's Division III rankings, shot a 5-under par 66 in the opening round and a 3-under 68 in the final round. His 8-under-par 134 is his best 36-hole total as a Hawks and is one stroke off of Huntingdon's NCAA-era record held by teammate Addison Lambeth. His performance also set the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial scoring record.
Greensboro's Grant Powell earned Golf Rookie of the Week honors. The freshman tied for 13th at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial by shooting a four-over par 146.
