NORMAN, Okla. – Three Huntingdon golfers were recognized with the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America’s finalized Division III Ping All-America teams on Wednesday. Juniors Stephen Shephard and Mark Connelly were both named second-team All-America and senior Jon Colten Stanaland was an honorable mention selection.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team turned in its best round of this year’s NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship with a 7-over-par 295 on Thursday. Entering Friday’s final round at Grandover Resort, the Hawks are 14th with a three-round total of 896.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team shot 9-over-par 297 in the second round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship on Wednesday. The Hawks shaved seven strokes off their first-round total and climbed three spots in the team standings. Entering Thursday’s third round at Grandover Resort, the second-ranked Hawks are tied for 15th with a two-round 601. Guilford College leads the field with a 2-over-par 578 after two rounds.

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team completed the first round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship on Tuesday. But almost half the field has yet to complete Round 1. The first round was suspended due to weather with 18 of the 42 teams still on the course at the Grandover Resort. The round is scheduled to resume Wednesday morning. Round 2 will begin following the completion of the first round.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The NCAA selection committee released the field for the 2018 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championships on Monday. Second-ranked Huntingdon will be one of 42 teams competing at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., on May 15-18.

NORMAN, Okla. – Huntingdon junior golfers Mark Connelly and Stephen Shephard were recently named semifinalists for the 2018 Division III Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award.

Women's basketball player Juliette Harp and men's lacrosse player Sam Hitt were honored as the Huntingdon Female Student-Athlete of the Year and Male Student-Athlete of the Year during Wednesday night's Awards Ceremony.

LAGRANGE, Ga. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team closed the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament with a 16-over-par 304 in the final round on Saturday. The Hawks finished four strokes out of first and in third with a three-round total of 896. North Carolina Wesleyan won the conference championship with an 892. Methodist placed second with an 894.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  – Four Huntingdon golfers were recognized with the release of the USA South All-Conference golf awards on Thursday. Juniors Mark Connelly and Stephen Shephard both earned first-team All-Conference honors, senior Jon Colten Stanaland was a second-team selection and sophomore Drew Mathers was named honorable mention. Stanaland was also named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Junior Stephen Shephard shot an even-par 72 in the opening round of the USA South Conference Tournament. Shephard is tied for fifth and the Hawks are in third entering Friday's second round.
